MLD FOR IMMUNE BOOST
History
Developed by Dr. Vodder in the 1930s, Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is an advanced therapy that stimulates and improves the body's lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system. It eliminates waste and toxins, providing a boost to the immune system.
Specific movements pump and stretch the skin, stimulating the movement of lymph fluid. This in turn speeds up cleansing of the fluid as it passes through nodes, cleansing it of bacteria, dead cells and other waste products and toxins. When the lymphatic system becomes blocked, fluid builds up and stagnates, making us feel sluggish and more susceptible to infections.
Benefits of MLD
After the nodes cleanse the lymph it is returned to the blood circulatory system.
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) has gained full medical acceptance in Ireland as a component in the treatment and control of lymphoedema. Please refer to MLD Ireland for a register of qualified therapist in your area.
